Club Development
Do you want to improve your Club? Increase membership in particular division by running a development program or hosting a Come and Try Day? Maybe your Club would like to obtain some funding to purchase bikes, a new club house or fund a development activity?
J Cycle and Skill Cycle Programs
J-Cycle (6-18yrs) is a skill-based structured program which consists of fun cycling activities over 8 weeks covering the fundamentals of bike safety and bike skills. Both Programs come under the “Full Cycle” Banner which was developed by Cycling Australia and the Australian Sports Commission. The participation Ride It License also falls under the Full Cycle Program.
The participants will be introduced to the skills required for riding a bike in a fun and safe environment. For every first time rider that comes through a course there is a discounted Cycling Australia racing licence for the bargain price of $20! This discounted licence is only valid till that years end and provides each participant who purchases the license with membership to their local cycling Club and access to cycle races anywhere in
Skill Cycle is an adult version of the J Cycle Program aimed at providing participants with the skills to ride safely. This program offers a friendly, time efficient way to improve skills, fitness and enjoy introductory level cycling. For every first time rider that comes through a course there is a discounted Cycling Australia racing licence for the bargain price of $45! Coaches must hold the Cycle Skill Coach accreditation to deliver this program.

Come and Try Days
What better why to attract new members than to run a Come and Try Day! Check out the Come and Try Day Checklist. Make sure you take out the appropriate Novicover Insurance to make sure you new participants are covered for insurance whilst taking part in the day. Funding is available through Sport and Recreation’s Club Development Program to run a participation so make sure you explore this option before launching into organising your day.
