About
Balmoral Cycling club was started in 1946, initially with road racing and then using a track at Hawthorne Park. Until the construction of the Chandler complex this was the hub of track cycling in Brisbane. In 1996 the Club moved when the criterium track in Murarrie was constructed.
The Club has produced a number of road and track champions at State, National, and World titles, and at Commonwealth Games level.
