After very successful 2011 and 2012 seasons, and with over 150 victories and numerous outstanding performances, 27:28
Racing is proud to announce a new partnership and team naming rights pairing with Pensar and SPM for the 2013 season, the team will race as Pensar SPM Racing.
Our passion for the sport and our competitive nature, led us to establishing 27:28 Racing in 2010. Together we developed a 3 year plan designed to create a team that caters not only for elite young riders, but also the new wave of mature cyclist who have recently discovered the sport. Furthermore, the sponsors believe that a professionally run cycling team is an ideal avenue for raising funds for a number of charities which they are passionate about.
2012 was a first for the team, along with an established elite men’s team added and introduced an elite women’s team to compete in the National Road Series, this introduction was successful from the start of 2012 which lead to the elite women’s team not only winning the individual NRS title but also the overall teams NRS title for 2012. The 2012 season netted 80 race wins across the team, building on that success the team is now looking to take the next step, and further cement its place as one of the leading men’s and women’s team teams in Queensland.
The women’s NRS team of Pensar SPM Racing for 2013 will have the additional support of Liv/giant Australia, Liv/ giant is a cycling brand dedicated solely to the female rider. It includes everything from specially designed bikes, gear and accessories, events and ambassadors who inspire us to lead happier, healthier, more adventurous lives through cycling.
Part of our 3 year plan, the team was looking for additional financial backing to allow us to progress to the next level, we were very fortunate to have attracted the support of Pensar in 2012, and now for 2013 pairs up with new sponsor SPM for the 2013 season.
Pensar has been a great supporter of Queensland cycling over the last 5 years, and will continue this support with 27:28 Racing with a view to assisting the team to build on the successes of its 2012 season.
SPM is a new player in the arena of elite cycling race team sponsorship. SPM a well established financial investment group is based on the Qld Sunshine Coast, Mark Darling the companies Executive Director who himself is a very keen cyclist is excited to have SPM partner with Pensar for the 2013 season, and support the team build on its already impressive portfolio.
Other current and new sponsors who will additionally support the team and it’s riders in 2013, Tineli Performance Bike Wear, Endura Sports Nutrition, Ride Mechanic, Metallon Steel Fabrications, Stark Creations and Commex Concepts.
