To obtain a Coaching Accreditation you firstly need to be an affiliated member of a cycling club. This ensures you have the appropriate coaching insurance and access to seminars and information that will improve your ongoing coaching abilities. As of 2010 a First Aid Certificate is a compulsory requirement for all new coaches to ensure immediate care is given to coaching session participants if there is an incident.
