2016 Bill Rob Scholarship Program

‘Empowering juniors to achieve their personal cycling goals’

The Bill Rob Scholarship Program is designed to assist junior athletes and their families within the sport of cycling to continue to compete in this great sport and to ensure that the riders can undertake development and racing opportunities.

Due to a fourth extremely generous donation made to Cycling Queensland (CQ), and with the support of the Association there is an ability to offer this opportunity for junior cyclists to receive assistance to allow for their continued development and participation within the sport.

Funding Available

  • Individual scholarships are available between $75 - $1000 per application
  • Individuals are not eligible for scholarship allocation in consecutive funding periods

Eligibility Criteria 2016 Funding Rounds

The Bill Rob Scholarship Program is designed to support young athletes participating in cycling within the area governed by Cycling Queensland.

In order to be eligible to apply for the Bill Rob Scholarship Program, junior riders must meet the following criteria.

  • Be between 7 and 18 years of age (inclusive) at the time of application.
  • Be an Australian citizen or have been granted permanent resident status, residing in Australia.
  • Be participating in the sport of cycling as a member of Cycling Australia and also a member of a Club affiliated with Cycling Queensland.
  • Must complete and submit the application to Cycling Queensland by close of business (COB) on the day applications close.
  • Must not have received a scholarship from Cycling Queensland or the Queensland Academy of Sport within the current or prior funding period.
  • Must not have received a scholarship from other cycling stakeholders providing support to riders in QLD during the current or prior funding period.

Applications will be open via our IMG system, and members will be notified upon the dates in which funding rounds open.
