Queensland Son Dominates Southern Olympic & National Champions
First time State & National competitor Andrew Gerber took on Olympic and National Cycling champions and came out ahead at Launceston Velodrome in the Australian Master's Track Championships held in April. He proudly walked away with two gold medals, two slivers and the title of Champion of Champions after competing in four elite events.
By day Andrew, who resides in Brisbane's Red Hill, operates a multi practitioner dentist surgery, Gerber Dental Group.
In his spare time, he is known for his leadership as deputy captain of the large QSM Racing team which represents the upper caliber of Queensland's Master, Elite & Junior racers.
Andrew is also a valued sponsor and junior development mentor for the QSM High Performance Program which supports emerging junior talent through funding, team building and coaching. Andrew is very keen to share his knowledge both on and off the track with Queensland Elite junior cyclists.
Andrew's next major race will be at the 'Tour de Tweed Coast' held as part of the exciting Battle on the Border four day cycling event over the June long weekend.
… Rumour also has it that both Victorian and New South Wales champions are less than impressed by his debute and remained concerned at the up and coming National series.
… bring it home Queenslander!
